Deborah Berry
When I started my career, I quickly realized I didn’t want to spend my days repeating the same surface-level treatments. Like many estheticians, I entered this field because I love helping others—and because I’ve faced my own skin challenges. That personal connection fuels everything I do, from working with clients to mentoring new estheticians.
My passion for results-driven, customized skincare led me to open Skin Deep—The Body Spa in Huntington Beach, which I ran for over 18 years, and later The Skin Maven in Los Gatos. Through decades of hands-on experience, I’ve learned what works—and what doesn’t—when it comes to creating lasting success in this industry.

With over 42 years in the skincare industry, I’ve trained hundreds of estheticians, owned and operated two successful spas (including one of Orange County’s first skin-focused day spas), and worked with clients across every skin concern imaginable.
My background blends advanced clinical esthetics, holistic skin health, business mentoring, and hands-on expertise in modalities for example, microcurrent, LED therapy, and customized facial design.
I also teach estheticians how to raise their retail-to-service sales to 30% or higher—far above the industry average—by educating clients rather than “selling” to them.
Each mentorship is fully customized. Most estheticians complete their training in 6–12 weeks, depending on availability, focus areas, and goals.
That depends on what you need. We’ll outline your custom mentorship plan after your consultation. Some estheticians want five focused sessions. Others choose ongoing mentorship to refine skills or business strategy.
Expect hands-on training, real business strategy, and honest feedback. Each session blends skin treatment education, skincare retail coaching, and esthetician client-building skills, always customized to your unique goals.
Yes! No two Maven Method mentorships are the same. You’ll receive 1:! esthetics training that targets your needs, whether it’s perfecting technique, learning advanced modalities, improving client retention, or building confidence in business and retail.
Each mentorship is customized based on your goals, the number of sessions, and the level of hands-on training involved. Most estheticians invest between $1,500 and $4,000, depending on the depth of training and support needed.
To reserve your mentorship schedule, payment for the first three sessions is required upfront. The remaining balance is due on or before your third session.
All payments are non-refundable once your training dates are confirmed.
Flexible payment arrangements can be discussed during your consultation to ensure your mentorship works for both your goals and your budget.
Yes! You’ll receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing your hands-on training, mentorship hours, and professional development through The Maven Method.
Because mentorship time is carved out exclusively for you, rescheduling requires at least one week’s notice.
Cancellations or reschedules made with less than one week’s notice will still be charged in full and cannot be refunded or transferred.
If an unexpected emergency arises, communication is key—please contact me right away so we can assess next steps together.
Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiting future esthetics training sessions.
Yes. Graduates have ongoing access for questions, business guidance, and technique refinement. You’ll always have a trusted mentor to check in with.
